Vision:
That provides all the services our forests offer to the society are carried out in the best way, carries out contemporary education and research activities, contributes to the social, cultural, physical and economic development of the environment in which it is located and to the sustainable development of the country, in constant cooperation with the public and private sectors, updating itself with knowledge, skills and technological developments, bringing a new perspective to forestry with its instructors with high professional skill level, to be a leading forestry department in our country.

To train forest conservation officers with analytical thinking ability, who ensure the protection, structural development and benefit of our forests in various ways, give importance to national and international environmental values, contribute to the sustainable management and management of forest resources and natural resources,
To be a department that produces national and international scientific outputs with its young, dynamic and innovative academicians, raises public awareness and leads the way in forestry in our country.
GENERAL INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY
General Introduction of the Department:
Demirci Vocational School was established on 25.01.1994 and Forestry and Forest Products Program was opened under the Forestry Department in 2014-2015 education and training year. In our department, there is a Hunting and Wildlife Program besides the Forestry and Forest Products Program. But this program has not started education and training yet. In the department, Mehmet Serdar ORUÇ, Güçlü İlker MÜFTÜOĞLU, Yekta KÖSE and Dr. Semih ÖRGEL is on duty. Our department continues its formal education with practical courses as well as theoretical courses. Academic advisory of the students throughout their education life is provided by the lecturers of the department.
Aim:
To train technical personnel who have basic knowledge in the forestry sector, act in accordance with the legislation in their field, take responsibility as a team member in solving problems, are equipped in technical matters, and can use the acquired knowledge and skills in the sustainable management of forest resources, ecological, economic and social protection and operation.
Purpose: As the Forestry Department;
Carrying out studies to increase the competency level of the department on a field basis

Working places:
Graduates of this department; They can work as a Forest Conservation Officer in the central and provincial units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks and General Directorate of Forestry, and as a Forest Technician in the private sector.
Transition to Undergraduate Programs:
Graduates of this program have the opportunity to transfer to the relevant departments of the Faculties of Forestry, Agriculture and Science and Letters, if they meet the necessary conditions.
